Paknet Radio Pad

Postby K3PCI » Wed May 27, 2009 10:04 am

Hi,

is anyone aware of any PCI approved installations where the Paknet Radio Pad is used to handle authorisation messages to acquirers? i'm not sure a Paknet installation would be good for a PCI environment as it broadcasts iso8583 messages which can be intercepted.

Thanks :)

Hello

Paknet is offering a secure service for those who are using the Paknet Radio Pad for their transactions. The PCI requirements deal with the specifics of the IP world, and in many cases are not applicable to a private switched network. However where appropriate these requirements have been applied to the Paknet Radio interface. The changes that have been made will require an upgrade from your existing Radio Pad to use the new secure services. The upgrade will not require any reconfiguration of your existing systems, server or terminal, as all additional configuration can be managed from the network.

For more information on the changes needed to help meet your PCI requirements with Paknet please contact Tom dot Joyce at Vodafone dot Com.
